C’s by L'Fisher: Home of Artisan Breads in Iloilo

I was born with a sweet tooth. Ever since I could remember, dessert has always been my most favorite part of a meal. So just imagine my delight when C’s by L'Fisher opened at SM City Iloilo, giving me and other dessert-lovers a new place to hang out with family or friends, savouring heavenly cakes while catching up on the latest news.

Artisan Breads
C’s is quite known for its French artisan breads. Artisan breads are specially handcrafted breads that are prepared in a long, traditional process with the use of high grade ingredients. Artisanal techniques include a long fermentation process to allow the dough to develop and the natural enzymes to react with the flour in their own time. The result is bread with more robust flavour and texture.

You might wonder who is the artisan behind these authentic French breads. He is Executive Pastry Chef Denis Laumôn, a French national who is married to an Ilongga. He has been baking up a storm at C’s kitchen in Bacolod for four years, and now brought his special breads to Iloilo.

“All our breads are prepared with so much passion and love. We use only the finest ingredients, including French butter, which is 99% pure, so our customers are assured of great-tasting and high quality breads and pastries. We do not use preservatives and all our breads are baked fresh and shipped all the way from Bacolod to Iloilo every other day,” said Laumôn.

At C’s, you will find a wide selection of delectable pastries, cakes and other desserts that will go well with your coffee. Croissant, Danish, Churros con Chocolate, croinuts, corknuts, cookies,  you name it, they most likely have it. Their éclairs are just the best and so are the cheesecakes. Just look at these photos:

Hot Dishes
C’s also serve hot dishes that are the creations of Chef de Partie Sunny Tagacay. I got to taste three of his specialties, which are U.S. Beef Salpicao, Beef Burgundy and Spanish Chorizo. No wonder that these dishes are among the bestsellers since they are so flavourful and filling, not to mention easy on the pocket. They are served with rice and cost below 200 pesos.

For those in a budget, C’s also serve Rice Toppings at a very affordable 99 pesos. In fact, C’s offers a wide array of mouthwatering dishes, including soups, sandwiches and pasta that fit any budget.
