The Mutya ng Guimaras 2017 was launched last week with a
press conference at Seda Atria Hotel, followed by a fashion show at Robinsons Place.
Eight lovely ladies representing the five municipalities of Guimaras province,
namely Buenavista, Jordan, Nueva Valencia, Sibunag and San Lorenzo take center stage
to compete in the province’s most prestigious annual beauty search.
The candidates vying for the title are Donnabelle Tahan and
Jhona Mae Gauzon of Jordan, Ancella Denise Anne Pastias of Buenavista, Josephine
Segovia, Mary Eve Escoto and Lorelie Galila of Nueva Valencia, Irynne Jo A. Vilches of San Lorenzo and Demi
Vilches of Sibunag.

The series of pre-pageant activities will be hosted and held
in the 5 municipalities to give the residents a chance to see all the
candidates. This also allows each town to take part in pre-pageant preparations
while showing their town’s warm hospitality.
The Search for Mutya ng Guimaras is one the major highlights
of the Manggahan Festival, which is slated on May 11 to 22. The coronation night
will be on May 19 at the Provincial Capitol Gymnasium.
Mutya ng Guimaras 2017 is presented by the provincial
government of Guimaras with Travel and Marketing Experts Corporation as its
official event organizer.
