Experience a dazzling Christmas at Iloilo Business Park

Iloilo Business Park, Megaworld’s 72-hectare township development, ushers in the merriest season of the year with its sparkling 40-foot Christmas Tree and giant lighted installations at the ‘Enchanted Forest of Lights’.

The property giant officially kicked off the Christmas season with a dazzling display of lights and color during a Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony at the Festive Walk Mall Outdoor Atrium on November 8

With a ‘nostalgic childhood Christmas’ becoming the theme of this year’s decorations, bright lights and lively performances took center stage, which culminated with the lighting of the 40-foot Christmas Tree.

The ceremonies were led by Iloilo City Councilor Jay Treñas, DOT 6 Regional Director Helen Catalbas, Iloilo Business Park vice president for sales and marketing Jennifer Palmares-Fong, and Festive Walk Iloilo general manager Buford Tan.

Adding more color and luster to the evening’s festivities was the lighting up of the collection of giant lighted installations scattered in various parts of Iloilo Business Park.

A must-see attraction within the township this holiday season, the Enchanted Forest of Lights is composed of huge LED-lighted displays that reach as high as 15 feet. These include larger-than-life replicas of squirrels, dogs, bears, and giraffes, as well as sea animals like goldfish, dolphins, octopus, and whales. A display of fantasy creatures, such as the unicorn, also added to the magical wonder evoked by the whimsical lighted displays.

“Christmas is all about savoring moments and creating new memories with your loved ones. With our dazzling displays, attractions and events, we invite everyone to celebrate the most wonderful time of the year here at Iloilo Business Park,” Palmares-Fong said.

Keeping the magic of Christmas alive, local performers from Parkour Iloilo, Jumpstreet Gymnastics, and Claravall-Gonzales School of Classical Ballet regaled the audience with their aerial tricks, acrobatics, and graceful ballet performances.

Over 40 kids from families belonging to the Ati Community of Lanit—an indigenous community based in Jaro, Iloilo—added flair to the celebration with their surprise performance. Concluding the Christmas kickoff celebrations was the Kinaadman Chorale, which serenaded the crowd with their own rendition of classic Yuletide carols.
