The Philippines ranks as having 5th fastest internet in Southeast Asia based on the latest Speedtest® Global Index report from internet analysis firm Ookla.
“The Philippines has been steadily climbing in the rankings on the Speedtest GlobalIndex,” said Sylwia Kechiche, principal analyst at Ookla. “This is on account of the Philippine operators' investments to modernize and upgrade their copper infrastructure and the activemigration of customers to fiber, as well as connecting many first-time users.”

“The Philippines’ continuous rise in the Speedtest Global Index is a result of the long-term investments and hard work of all the telco operators in the country. At PLDT, we reinforce our commitment to provide the best customer experience and power homes with future-ready innovations,” said Jeremiah de la Cruz, PLDT Senior Vice President and Head of Consumer Business – Home.
