PHINMA University of Iloilo’s (PHINMA UI) College of Information Technology and Engineering (CITE) is set to improve its curriculum following consecutive meetings with top technology institutions.
The university sent a delegation of faculty members to Manila from May 19 - 22 to exchange knowledge with organizations like De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde, University of the East, PLDT, and more.
Led by CITE Dean Seth Nono and Assistant Dean Arnold Fuentes, the delegation visited a total of 12 technology-driven companies and institutions, gaining firsthand insights on cutting-edge developments in cybersecurity, cloud computing, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), software development, and digital arts.
PHINMA UI CITE also became the first academic institution to visit the Cybercrime Investigation and Coordinating Center, where faculty learned about real-world cybersecurity challenges and how to integrate them into the academic environment.
