She highlighted how generations of Chinese-Filipino entrepreneurs and civic leaders have contributed significantly to local economic growth and cultural development.

This year’s hosting by Sun Yat Sen High School of Iloilo came on the heels of its 100th foundation anniversary last year, reaffirming its legacy as a pillar of Chinese-Filipino education in the region. As the institution celebrates its centennial milestone and returns as host, it reminds Ilonggos of a heritage that continues to shape the future. What began in 2003 has since grown into a cherished tradition that endures across generations.
