hosted the “Live Bright Trivia Night” on April 24, 2026. Held at the cozy Bite:
Bakery and Kitchen in Time Square, Mandurriao, the event brought
together local media, influencers, and community partners for an evening
dedicated to demystifying financial literacy through the power of play.
The atmosphere at Bite: Bakery and Kitchen was electric,
providing the perfect backdrop for a program designed to tackle the
often-intimidating world of "adulting." The event aimed to prove that
discussing money management doesn't always have to happen in a boardroom; it
can happen over great food and a bit of healthy rivalry.

"Tonight is about connection," Perral shared. "At Sun Life, we
believe that living bright doesn’t mean having everything figured out all at

She added that financial conversations don’t always have to

the energy remained high. Specialized segments like "Live Bright Financial
Literature 101" and "Pinoy Trivia (Employee Version)" cleverly
woven financial concepts into the gameplay, ensuring that every participant
walked away with more than just a score. The intellectual marathon continued
with "Rebus Puzzles," "Family Feud (Survey Says)," and the
classic "Pinoy Henyo."
Amidst the fun competition, the event delivered practical,
relatable financial takeaways. Discussions focused on the "adulting"
realities everyone faces, such as managing the dreaded petsa de peligro, effective
budgeting after payday, and the importance of saving for both immediate
"small goals" and long-term "big milestones."
As the games concluded, the spotlight shifted to the
much-anticipated awards ceremony. "The Shine Squad" award was
presented to the team with the most creative name, proving that wit is just as
valuable as wisdom. Meanwhile, the "Glow-Getter Team Award"
recognized the group that maintained the highest energy and participation
levels from the first question to the last.

The evening's top honors went to Team Confidence, who were the ultimate Live Bright Trivia Night Champions. Composed of members
from the Iloilo Bloggers Society, The Daily Guardian, and Iloilo Metropolitan
Times, the team demonstrated exceptional teamwork and a deep well of knowledge.
Their victory was a testament to the strong community spirit and collaborative
heart of Iloilo’s media landscape.
Before the night drew to a close, a raffle draw added an
extra layer of excitement, sending several lucky winners home with special
prizes. However, the true reward was the collective sense of empowerment felt
by everyone in the room. The event successfully transformed complex financial
