KMJS pays tribute to fallen COVID-19 heroes this Sunday

This Sunday (April 19), Ruby Rodriguez opens up to Jessica Soho in a one-on-one interview to relive the memories of her “Manang Sally”.

Dr. Sally Gatchalian is one of many doctors who died in the midst of the world’s battle against COVID-19. She was regarded as a mentor in the profession and once served as the President of the Philippine Pediatric Society and Assistant Director of the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine (RITM). But for Eat Bulaga host Ruby Rodriguez, Dr. Sally was her loving sister.

And behind the numbers and statistics, Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho pays tribute to the medical frontliners who have risked their lives and have fallen to fight the virus.

Meanwhile, as the TikTok craze continues to spread during the Enhanced Community Quarantine, several Tiktok creators have made their own mark on social media. One of them is Ericka from Samar who is now widely known as “Everything.” She first became an instant viral hit with her candid TikTok video after running out of cellphone load. But behind her videos that are full of fun and laughter is a story full of challenges and heartbreaks. Ericka, who has long been orphaned, used to live off trash and garbage.

Hottie alert, on the other hand, goes to a dancer/choreographer who wowed the virtual world with his dance videos. He is DJ Loonyo, who pioneered the dance challenge that pays tribute to the medical frontliners. This internet bae is currently based in China where COVID-19 originated. DJ Loonyo shows us the life of an OFW and social media influencer.

And, the man who has been featured in viral memes where he was allegedly included in the Tokhang list but never in the list for relief goods, asked for help from KMJS. After being the subject of laughter and ridicule because of the memes, the man now fears for his life.
